Pinkeeps as bowl fillers ... Why not ...

The other day while I was looking through my wool (I want to hook another mat) I came across the prettiest shade of blue, almost a turquoise color, and me being the neat freak ... I found attached to this blue, more pretty blues ... All of my wool is stacked in plastic totes in colors of course. Now, I'll tell you a secret about me, I am not a blue kind of person. I have said it before now, I do not like blue to decorate with, love it for clothing, just not in my house. I think it is a hard color to decorate around, just me ... just sayin'.
Anyway, there was so much of it ... I thought I would make a couple of pinkeeps ... And then one lead to two and two to seven and seven lead to well, I 'm still going ...

Pinkeep bowl fillers ...

Love the colors and the buttons ...

As I've gotten older my tastes have changed, I still love to look at pretty things ... just not so much ... everywhere ... so when I do put something out I want it to be simple, and utilitarian ...  silly ... I know!
I'm not so much into the cutesy things these days ... Now, don't get me wrong ... I've done the bunny bowl fillers ... colorful egg wreaths ... Santa ... elf's ... snowmen ... four leaf clovers ... witches ... Everything from A-Z ... so now, I just want simple ... And lets face it .... these are as simple as it gets.
I was going to do a tutorial on these, and apparently blogger has done it again ... trying to publish my drafts and then they are gone!
But instead I'm just going to put the pattern up with very simple instructions. I also have put the photos up on my tutorial page. So just click the tab. If you have questions, please ask, I will always help. Here is a trick I have used for things like this ... I make my circles out of a heavy plastic or card stock .... easy to trace around, and you will always have them ... you can even use them when making penny rugs ... yo yos and so on. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
Have a great weekend ... more farm work for me.
Teri

  5. Hi, Teri. The blues are gorgeous.
I love indigo the best. I'd love
    to have the files/photos, what
you said you could send. I won't be putting them on my blog don't worry.
You're doing a tutorial, should we get it here or is that emailed?
Blogger is always erasing my blog list. Ugghhh... SO far my drafts and scheduled posts are going thru fine.

  7. I understand about blue... I'm not a blue person either. I have dark blue in my home with the patriotic pieces but no where else. So I'm with you on that one. But these are gorgeous!! They look great in a simple white bowl with single candle just like you have them. I like a collection of them like this much better than just a couple. Very cute Teri!

Enjoy your weekend, stay safe in those storms~
