30 Days and Counting ......

Here is what the view from my kitchen window looked like Sunday morning ... So pretty!

Here is the view from the other kitchen window today, ... I think I like them both ...

And here is Beth's view ... She is having a rough go of it this year ... I think this will be her last lamb.

And the two black sheep of the flock ... Evie and Felicia ... Felicia has the most amazing fleece ...
Don't know if you can see how long and true black it is ...

I'm crossing my fingers that the hay supply holds out at least until after the lambs come ...

Here is a pattern I just finished up for spring ... My black doll shelf sitter ... of course she has a wool strawberry ...

I took this shot ... well, because the shadows were so pretty going across the old wood box I use as my coffee table ...

And I don't know what is going on with my Christmas cactus ... but it has been blooming for about a week now ... But the weird thing, is it is blooming red ... It was purple last time it bloomed at Christmas ...

That's right 30 days and counting ... there should be lambs, lambs, and more lambs ... small ones, big ones, black ones, white ones ... and of course cute ones (which is all of them). Still busy ... New gate is on order, Milker is in the mail ... yeah ... almost ready.
Have a great week.

  6. I would like to get a lamb. On my walks last spring I watched the little lambs in the field as their mothers grazed. I am excited to see yours arrive & to learn what you share in your posts soon. Blessings!

  7. We have had odd weather here too, but I think I'm favoring the second view as I'm ready for Spring.
Your sheep are beautiful, I can't wait to see the babies!
I have 6 Christmas cacti, two full bloomed for Christmas, 2 had a few blooms, and two didn't bloom. But now one of the two that didn't is blooming in full now and is red like yours. I think the very odd winter messed them up depending on which window they were near.

  10. I wish we would get one real snow before spring becomes official. Loving the sheepies.....Sorry that Beth is getting worn out by birthing so many. We are familiar with that and our doxies. They just get tired, don't they?
    Loving your black baby!
