Yesterday was a beautiful fall day here in KY. One thing I love about living in KY. is, it is a LOT warmer than MA. (brrrrrrrrrr) and it has 4 seasons which I just love. MA. really has 4 seasons, just not like you think .....they are wet and wetter and cold and colder .....The grass and trees here are still green with little hints of color here and there. Some of the scrub brush and smaller trees have color to them .... grass is slowing down and the blackberry bushes are dropping their reddish brown leaves. The bittersweet is popping open and the air is so clean and earthy smelling that it makes me want to spend every minute outside!
So yesterday we finished the last of the stripping on the barn. My hubby designed and built this barn ..... he is great at anything he does! He amazes me sometimes. So this barn was designed for my sheep, and sheep do not like to feel like they are trapped! So the barn has a big front opening to it so they can have shelter from the wind and rain and still feel as though they are able to run! The old fight or flight!
Being from MA. we just love the old board and batt look on barns and brought that style with us here to KY. There are somethings that I just love about MA. the weather is not one of them.
